Hi Gam, yes this area is now getting pretty active; as you say in your blog - the next 12 months will see a lot of change.

I'll have a more detailed look at your operational model and respond. I agree that progress could come from existing managers of customer data although I think it more likely to begin with start-ups, with the existing players getting involved through threat as much as opportunity.

Iain, I like your ideas here - I have been following this space for a number of years now and have observed that since around early 2002 various people have been discussing the possibility of Personal Information ownership and the ability to benefit from transactions. I have cataloged some of the thinkers and added your posting to the list. Additionally in my blog, I have also outlined an operational model that would enable this.
